Abstract

The development of bioinformatics and data science has improved the ability to analyze numerous biological data types. Moreover, Next Generation Sequencing enables scientists to rapidly measure the expression of various genes. Besides that, livestock breeding is focused on creating animals with better productivity, which requires a thorough understanding of what genes or gene regulators participate in different metabolism. Therefore, this study used Illumina-sequence transcriptome data of Ovis Aries livers with a specific diet to identify the expression of important miRNAs and genes in different metabolism. Gene expression analysis was performed, and the result identified 15916 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), including 5870 DEGs in the high energy group, 2259 DEGs in the light grazing group, 4141 DEGs in the over- grazing group, and 3646 DEGs in the oil supplement group. In addition, this study demonstrates the existence of 14 different miRNA and their association with the highlighted genes. Moreover, the role of mir143 and mir125b has been discussed, and the results successfully validate their association with Hexokinase 2 in glucose metabolism.
