Authors may decide on submitting their manuscript as a word file to be applied in the reviewing process. during the revision process, authors will be asked to put their paper in to a ‘correct format’ for accepting and prepare the items essential for publishing the manuscript. If authors submit their manuscripts to the journal for publishing in a particular issue, they should communicate with the Editor-in-Chief or Guest Editor to know about the submission instructions. Authors should avoid submitting their manuscript via the online Medbiotech Journal unless authors are requested to do so.

Authorship Guidelines

Authorship credit should be according to: (i) considerable aids to conception and design, attainment of data, or analysis and explanation of data, (ii) Drafting the manuscripts or revising it critically for significant intellectual content; and (iii) Final acceptance of the version to be submitted for publishing. These conditions should be fulfilled by all authors. Gaining the subsidy, collecting the data or general supervision of the research group alone does not establish authorship. All contributors not satisfying the conditions for authorship should be named in an acknowledgments section. The authors are responsible for reaching an agreement on the order of their names before the submission of the manuscript. The authors should agree to appoint one author as the corresponding author for submitting. The final decision is made according to reviewers and editorial board members’ suggestions. The journal’s ethical policy makes Editor-in-Chief to consult with other editors or reviewers to make their final decision. The reviewers are responsible for assessing the manuscripts according to their contents in a confidential way. The reviewers recommend the authors for improving the quality of their paper by applying their reviewers’ comments. Authors should guarantee that the manuscript submitted to the Medbiotech Journal is original and has not been published in other journals in any language. Authors should follow the copyright rules and agreements. Any kind of plagiarism founds unethical publishing conduct and is unacceptable. For information regarding publishing and ethical guidelines please refer to http://publicationethics.org.

Peer-Review Process

authors have the responsibility for taking part in in peer review process to assess manuscripts in order to assist the peer review system. If necessary, authors should be forced to provide the editors and the publisher with retractions and/or modifications of errors. All submitted manuscripts to Medbiotech Journal will undergo the peer review process at least one round.  Medbiotech Journal pursue a double-blinded review policy: authors are unsighted to reviewers, but reviewers are not unsighted to authors. The peer review process is carried out through the online manuscript submission and peer-review system. As soon as submitting the manuscript to the online system, the system informs the editorial office straightaway. After evaluating the initial quality of the manuscript by the editorial office, the manuscript will be sent to two or more reviewers. The editorial boards are responsible to make the final decision after sending the comments by reviewers. Since there may be disagreements between reviewers, the final decision sent to the author may not indicate the recommendations given by each of reviewers. In order to assist the peer review system, authors have the responsibility for taking part in peer review process to assess manuscripts.

The decision made after each stage of peer-review may be according to one of the following”

  1. Accept without any additional alternations.
  2. Accept with minor revision. The manuscript after revision may or may not be sent to the reviewers for receiving further comments.
  3. Reject with encouraging the author to resubmit the manuscript. In this case major revisions are essential for resubmitting. The revised manuscript which is resubmitted to the journal will undergo the peer-review process for the second time. In general, it will be sent to the original reviewers.
  4. Reject without encouraging the authors to resubmit. The manuscript is rejected for publishing in Medbiotech Journal.

Post-Publication Evaluation

As well as quick the peer-review process, the Medbiotech Journal is assessed through Post-Publication Evaluation by the scientific community.

The main purpose of Post-Publication Evaluation is making sure that the quality of the published manuscript satisfies the required standards and the given conclusions are justified. The post-publication evaluation process consists of offering online comments and citations on published papers. Authors may reply to the comments offered by the scientific community and may revise their manuscript. The Post-Publication Evaluation is explained in such a manner; it let authors to disseminate rapidly regarding biology, biotechnology, chemical sciences and medical sciences,

All manuscripts submitted to Medbiotech Journal are screened by CrossCheck in the editorial system. Editorial boards may provide a similarity report throughout the under review process or after publication. This report provides information about the percentage of similarity between the manuscript and other published papers. Checking the figures and equations is not possible. It should be noted that high percentage of similarity does not certainly mean plagiarism. For example, a similarity of 30% can signify that 30% of the manuscript is in common with one paper or there is 1% in common with 30 different papers.

Prior to using the CrossCheck for the first time, it is strongly recommended that all reviewers and editorial boards read the manual supplied by ithenticate: Detailed User Manual

AFTER ACCEPTANCE

Use of the Digital Object Identifier

The Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is employed to cite the electronic documents. The DOI contains of a unique alpha-numeric character string which is allocated to a document by the publisher based on the initial electronic publication. The dedicated DOI never vary. The assigned DOI never changes, i.e., it is ensured that the DOIs never change when the authors use a DOI to refer to an electronic document.

Online Proof Correction

Medbiotech Journal will send an e-mail to Corresponding authors regarding online proofing system, which enable them to make correction online. The environment of Online Proof Correction is similar to MS Word: as well as revising the manuscript, authors can put comments on figures/tables and answer questions from the Copy Editor. This proof is used to check the typesetting, editing, integrity and accuracy of the text, tables and figures. Making considerable changes to the accepted manuscript will be only possible with the editor-in-chief’s permission. It is essential to guarantee that all corrections will be sent back to us in one e-mail. Authors must check cautiously before sending the changes, since addition of further corrections cannot be guaranteed. Proofreading is the sole responsibility of the corresponding author.
