All manuscripts must be submitted together with a cover letter in which the authors should express why their manuscripts should be taken into account, assessed on any issues regarding the Medbiotech Journal policies and state if they have any competitive interests.  Also the authors of manuscripts are requested to submit a copyright statement of competing interests along with their manuscripts.

Peer review is the essential evaluation of submitted manuscripts performed by specialists who are usually not members of the editorial board.  Since impartial, autonomous and critical evaluation is an essential part of all scholarly work such as scientific research, peer review is a vital extension of the scientific process. the main purpose of peer review is improving the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of published manuscripts and to assist the editors in making decision which manuscripts to publish. Peer review cannot ensure the quality of manuscript and is not able to identify the scientific misconduct dependably. Peer reviewers give editors advice on how a manuscript be improved and on its preference for publishing in that journal. Editors make a decision whether and under which circumstances manuscripts are accepted for publishing in the journal, helped by the reviewers’ guidance. Editors of peer-reviewed journals do not require to send manuscripts submitted to journal out for review. Manuscripts which are improbable be published in Medbiotech Journal may be sent back to authors without external review, to let the authors to submit their manuscript to another journal without postponement and to make the reviewers and the editors to use their time efficiently. Editors are responsible for publishing statistics regularly explaining their journal’s review process, such as number of submitted manuscripts, acceptance rate, and average time from submitting the manuscript to rejection letter to authors and, for accepted manuscripts, time from submission to publication.

Submitted manuscript which are out of scope for the Medbiotech Journal or are of low quality may be refused without reviewing process. potential manuscripts will be reviewed by three specialists of the same area of specializations in order to make the first decision as soon as possible.
